Sam Lloyd
Event Co-ordinator
Sam began working at Hawkley Hall Suite in September 2014. Prior to this she worked in the property industry within Client Property Management and gained a wealth of experience in business and customer care. Sam studied at The University of Bolton and gained a BA (HONS) in Photography & Video, and has also studied Business & Administration. She excels at customer care and likes to liaise with visitors and ensure that all events run to the highest possible standard.
Suzanne Chamberlain
Event Co-Ordinator
Suzanne has been at Hawkley Hall Suite since January 2016. Prior to that she worked at two Wigan schools, gaining a useful insight into the classroom environment. She previously worked as a European Operations Analyst and as a Marketing Executive, providing a useful insight into the requirements of business. Suzanne studied at City University, achieving a BSc Hons in Business Studies (Finance). Suzanne enjoys meeting the visitors to the Suite and likes to ensure expectations are exceeded.

Matt Klinck
NPQSL & Aspirant Leaders
Matt is currently a deputy headteacher at Hawkley Hall High School with core responsibility for both teaching and learning and continued professional development (CPD). He has experience of course design for different facets of teaching and learning, middle leadership, trainee and NQT programmes.
Roy Halford
The Headteacher Training Programme, Secondary Diagnostics & Primary Diagnostics
Roy has been a headteacher for 13 years and, as an NLE, was commissioned by the National College to develop this diagnostic as a starting point for effective and sustainable school to school support. He has a track record of high impact school improvement activity in his own schools and in those he has supported.
Jeanette Rigby
Safeguarding L1, Designated Safeguarding Officer L3 & Safer Recruitment
Jeanette has worked in education for twenty years. She is the Head of Inclusion. She has a wealth of experience working with children, young people and their families; in particular those with special educational needs. Since 2008, Jeanette has been the designated teacher for child protection. She facilitates level 1 safeguarding training across schools in Wigan and surrounding areas.
Phil Rimmer
Secondary Diagnostics & Maximising Student Attainment
Phil is Headteacher at Hawkley Hall High School and Executive Headteacher for the cluster which includes Hawkley Hall, Kirkby High School and Three Towers. Phil holds an MSC in Educational Leadership and Management and NPQH. He is currently in the first cohort of the National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership (NPQEL). He was a member of the DfE Teacher Workload: Data Management Review Group and was part of the writing group for the NLE toolkit. Phil has been in senior leadership since 2006 and prior to taking up his current post was the Director of Education for the Rowan Learning Trust. During this period he worked closely with the previous CEO, the Trust Business Manager, Director of Operations, Headteachers in the trust and the wider School Improvement Team. In addition, he has a wealth of experience in school improvement and has co-ordinated, and led, the support for more than twenty schools, demonstrating significant impact.
Michelle White
INSPIRE, Improving Teacher Programme and Outstanding Teaching Assistant Programme
Michelle has been a teacher of drama at Hawkley Hall High since 2009. In 2011 she became acting Head of Drama for one year. In 2015 she became a lead practitioner of teaching and learning, which is her passion. She is a trained facilitator for the Outstanding Teacher Programme (OTP), Outstanding Teaching Assistant Programme (OTAP) and Power of Coaching courses.
Alan Williams
Excel Facilitator

Alan is a Microsoft Certified Application Specialist and trainer who has been training Microsoft Office and Excel to small businesses, SMEs, large corporates and within the public sector since 1994. He is enthusiastic about training Excel to new users with little or no experience to advanced and super users. What you will learn on his courses applies to all you do in Excel from best workbook design, right up to advanced formula and are instantly transferable to your workplace.  Alan is a member of the Learning and Performance Institute.


Dr Paul Simmons
Director, Independent Coaching
Paul has been a teacher, governor, examiner and County Adviser for schools. He has over twenty-five years’ experience of leadership development with head teachers and senior leadership teams. He has worked extensively as a Registered Inspector of Schools in England. At the University of Manchester, he headed up the research and development of coaching for leaders in education. Paul is an experienced Executive Coach, working with directors, head teachers and executive heads. He is a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.
Sarah Owens
Child Bereavement & Sensitive Communication & Listening Skills - Salford University
Sarah is the Hospice Palliative Care Education Lead. She is a nurse by background and has worked at the hospice for 18 years. She has worked within the hospice education department for 12 years and is very passionate about palliative and end of life care.
George Moore
First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid, Fire Marshal, Fire Safety & Manual Handling - Wigan Training Ltd.
George has been a facilitator of First Aid at Hawkley Hall Suite since March 2015. George has a wealth of experience in this particular field and enjoys delivering training to the highest possible standard, whilst in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. George has developed a passion for not only first aid, but also for health and safety, Fire Marshal, Fire Safety & Manual Handling training. He has developed a new course in business continuity and emergency planning.
Dr Sam Littlemore
Understand, Identify & Reduce the Impact of Girl Bullies

Dr Sam Littlemore is a leading specialist on understanding and managing school bullying.  She is a Child Psychologist, Chartered Psychologist and both an academic and practitioner. Her focus is on improving well-being through welfare, safeguarding and behaviour change.  She has been an anti-bullying advisor to Advisor for over 3,500 schools and now works with families and in schools  helping to develop bespoke support for psychological well-being and behaviour management.  Sam is also a media psychologist and  author, she has written the successful book Girl Bullying – Do I Look Bothered!
